Pakohe also offer a unique range of wooden jigsaw puzzles (pangarākau), suitable for all preschool children with images of Aotearoa's birds and flowers with bright and colourful pieces that can help with a child's early development. The puzzles have been designed to be both fun and educational for young children. Each individually handpainted puzzle is guaranteed non-toxic and safe to eat although not recommended as part of a nutritional diet!
Our new range of screen printed jigsaw puzzles will help children to recognise numbers and corresponding names and they will get a sense of the value of our taonga tuku iho (the knowledge and gifts passed down from our ancestors). The names of the objects are printed on the back of each puzzle with a short sentence to use when instructing the children. Numbers 6 to 10 will be added as soon as we complete the design and manufacture of each puzzle.
